چکیده

Since the collapse of socialism in Hungary 1989, political and economic factors increased residential mobility between Budapest its agglomeration area. Social disparities have become more pronounced not only among settlements agglomeration, but also within them. This paper identifies different status-dependent paths general process suburbanization using official statistical data, survey interview analysis. The empirical research was made 1992 repeated 2002.
We argue that higher status groups used new opportunities to strengthen their by choosing move while poor were forced less advantageous sectors agglomeration. Agglomeration and Co-Agglomeration of Services Industries

Economic research on industry location and agglomeration has focused nearly exclusively on manufacturing. This paper shows that services are prominent among the most agglomerated industries, especially at the county level. Because traditional measures of knowledge spillovers, natural resource inputs, and labor pooling explain little of agglomeration in services industries, this paper takes an a...

Knowledge Exchange, Matching, and Agglomeration Knowledge Exchange, Matching, and Agglomeration

Despite wide recognition of their significant role in explaining sustained growth and economic development, uncompensated knowledge spillovers have not yet been fully modeled with a microeconomic foundation. The main purpose of this paper is to illustrate the exchange of knowledge as well as its consequences on agglomerative activity in a general-equilibrium search-theoretic framework. Agents, ...

Agglomeration in the Eu Regions

Based on a new economic geography (NEG) model by Puga (1999), we use the equilibrium wage equation to estimate two key structural model parameters for the NUTS II EU regions. These estimations enable us to come up with an empirically grounded free-ness of trade parameter. In line with NEG theory, the estimation results show that a spatial wage structure exists for the EU regions. By going back ...

TWO PHOTON TRANSITIONS IN THE OPTOGALVANIC SPECTRUM OF NEON

Seventeen two-photon transitions for neon have been observed in the 580- 635 nm spectral region for use in the spectroscopic study of its higher excited levels, which are not accessible by one-photon absorption. To compare the two and one-photon absorption signals originating from the same lower level, an effort was made to record single-photon optogalvanic spectrum in the available wavele...

Analyzing Agricultural Agglomeration in China

There has been little scholarly research on Chinese agriculture’s geographic pattern of agglomeration and its evolutionary mechanisms, which are essential to sustainable development in China. By calculating the barycenter coordinates, the Gini coefficient, spatial autocorrelation and specialization indices for 11 crops during 1981–2012, we analyze the evolutionary pattern and mechanisms of agri...
